autumn is by far my favorite season. not only were my firsborn and i born in autumn, but i have a special affection for wearing sweaters, hot tea, and fall foliage, all of which are significantly more enjoyable in autumn. the colors, the scents, and flavors are intoxicating. my little men meet it all with fresh eyes, and it is my pleasure to do as much introducing as possible.

this is a picture that my cousin marisa took of her brother thomas's favorite hat which he(irony) lost the following week. i am proud to say there is now a pretty darn good replica(and all out of recycled yarn, which i hope will be his favorite part!)

I'm a huge fan of kid art, as well. Can't wait for Tessa to really get into it--I've got big decorating plans for Tessa's room in our future home.
they are so uninhibited and free to make something or nothing with paint! and the way that their minds recall things that they know and love is fascinating(in the same way that their language progression is). love it.
