dread

about a month and a half ago, i tried(with beeswax and olive oil that didn't work) to dread adam's hair.  about 4 of mine locked correctly so he had 4 random dreads on the back of his head.  wednesday, janna(our resident hairstylist) tried her hand at braiding his whole head and then teasing.  that didn't work either.  so thursday night, he did some more research on wax and found a recipe that consisted of beeswax, mineral oil, hempseed oil(which we couldn't find), and vitamin E oil.  i teased until i didn't want to tease ever again and then handrolled with the concoction and blow-dried the finished product.  so far, he hasn't washed them, but they are staying in.  he also read somewhere that spraying them with a lemon juice/sea salt mixture would encourage them to lock tighter, so we'll try that sometime soon.  for now, he has dreads.

wish this picture didn't make him look like i drugged him...  i think he was trying to look miserable.
