outdoors

isaac and ezra can confirm that our new backyard is pretty amazing.  they spend most of every day out there collecting things, pretending things, making things, swinging on the new swings their daddy built them, riding bikes(ezra mostly just likes wearing a helmet), eating snacks, etc.

I AM NOT DOING A GARDEN THIS YEAR.  but i needed a little something :)

box fort

i was so sad to say goodbye to my roses at our townhouse, but it turns out i had better ones to look forward to...

don't know what kind of tree this is(any ideas?) but it smells like heaven and it buzzes all day long with a variety of pollinators frequenting its blossoms...

blue hydrangeas are almost ready to explode

the cedar trees in the front(which adam so kindly relieved of their lower limbs) are growing a few new little branches

tate: "how come you get to walk around the yard taking pictures without me?? that is so unfair"

japanese maples are somehow magical

sarah bury brought us a few baby raspberry bushes(which tate has killed by dragging around the yard and then chewing... very sad) and abraham brought us some sunflower sprouts(which tate has laid on top of repeatedly and a caterpillar of some sort has nibbled on slightly) which MIGHT make it... we'll see...

not sure what he's pretending to be, but my guess would be the sticks are his ears...?

on a side note: THE NEW FLEET FOXES IS AWESOME.

on another side note, our niece Abby was dedicated a few weekends ago!
