a little politics and a little crafting...

so yesterday was the inauguration. adam went into the city with steve and matt and i spent the day with my mother and nonna and my boys unraveling a sweater and taking pictures of the tv(dork... i know) to prevent myself from wanting to go downtown and take pictures of it in the flesh. i think i chose the better vantage point in the end though, as i got to see everything and call the adventurers and update them on what was going on(kennedy/byrd/lateness/"they're getting out of the car early!"/etc.). it was a beautiful inauguration and an inspiring speech. i felt stressed the whole day just praying that nothing bad would happen to ruin it all... and it didn't(thank God) but i'm a pescimist and i know there are bad people out there that would want to do something and i think living in dc(just as i'm sure living in ny or london or anywhere else where there are a lot of vulnerable people would feel) makes me more nervous. ANYWAYS.

love is all we need.

Okay, did you make the necklaces just like I did? It's a glass marble-thing with a picture behind it. How did you attach the picture? Did you decapague (sp?) it and then gel it with the lacquer? This could be my next crafting adventure! I'm impressed by your number...feel free to add them to our table at our next craft fair! :)
