ringing in the new year...

...with a few tasty treats worth sharing with you.  new years eve i tried a new cookie recipe from Best Recipes for triple chocolate cookies, which caught my eye because i love cookies that call for espresso powder.  i also knew i would need the extra sugar high to stay awake until midnight(i know.)

they were a big hit

pizza night at nonna's house

she's a professional who gets paid in kisses

: ezra had to test each piece of cheese before putting on the pizzas just to make sure it was good enough

check out the adorable gingerbread trees she made. so whimsical!
i think she's an artist and she doesn't know it.

left to right: veggie(yum), salami, and bbq

also recently tried my hand a the chocolate caramel tart from chocolate and zucchini. it melted in your mouth and you definitely only need a sliver.  strawberries would have been great with it.  i've had her book for almost two years and have been too intimidated to make anything in it until now.  it was so worth the effort.

ezra agrees.

drumroll...

so i've found an awesome new bread recipe.

it really is amazingly delicious and aromatic and easy(key word)

and SO good with nutella and spearmint tea(in awesome new thrifted cup) for breakfast!

since last spring i've been on lisa rupp's mailing list and the happy recipient of her free calendar templates every month.  i love her style!

mmm...reading your blog makes me hungry. speaking of hungry...we need to do dinner sometime. :) i'm so impressed you have 2 munchkins AND have time to make bread from scratch. maybe you've even motivated me to try it.
